Jobs at Risk of Being Replaced by AI, Says Creator of ChatGPT, Sam Altman

Date:

The CEO of OpenAI, Sam Altman, has acknowledged the possibility of AI taking away human jobs. However, he mentioned that AI will also create new and better jobs. Altman is visiting India and is expected to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi while he is there. In an interview with the Economic Times, he explained that AI will cause certain jobs to disappear, but new jobs will be created that are difficult to imagine today.

Altman discussed AI regulation in the interview, stating that it is important but only for big players in the market. He further stated that smaller companies should not worry about AI regulations. Altman is travelling around the world to discuss AI with different country’s leaders.

During his visit to India, Altman is expected to meet with top government officials to discuss the future of AI. OpenAI is willing to cooperate with the government to ensure that AI is regulated. The company has also called for self-regulation and is willing to be regulated by the government.

AI experts like Altman are well aware of the impact AI will have on the job market, but they feel that the new jobs will replace the jobs that AI takes away. With the cybersecurity industry in demand, technical skills, and data analysis required for AI tasks, a new skillset is required that may not have been previously considered. The AI revolution is expected to create jobs that we cannot imagine today, making it an exciting time for our industry.
