While two-thirds of small business owners do not believe AI will replace employees, 44% expect to use the technology to reduce the number of new hires, with larger businesses more likely to do so than smaller ones. Around 80% of respondents are concerned about privacy, ethical and intellectual property issues around the use of AI, but a quarter said they were currently using or testing generative AI tools, with two-thirds planning to use them in business soon.
