India and the United States recently engaged in discussions to explore opportunities to strengthen their cooperation in the space domain. Vipin Narang and Vishwesh Negi led the dialogue, focusing on enhancing collaboration with US industry to advance cooperation in space.
Cmdr Jessica Anderson of the US Department of Defense elaborated on the commitment to deepen collaboration on evolving defense domains, including space. During the dialogue, both parties highlighted potential areas for collaboration and agreed to advance AD3 through regular working group discussions.
The visiting Indian government delegation also interacted with the US Space Command, Joint Commercial Operations Cell, and artificial intelligence experts within the US Department of Defense. The discussions emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation in the space domain to bolster bilateral defense ties.
Moreover, earlier in April, the Indo-US joint working group, operating under the Defence Tech and Trade Initiative (DTTI), convened in New Delhi to strengthen defense collaboration between the two nations. Key officials discussed strategic plans aimed at leveraging the strengths of both partner nations to enhance defense cooperation and co-production.
