Five outstanding students from the University of The Bahamas have been selected to receive a prestigious scholarship to participate in an Artificial Intelligence (AI) course at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Thuwal, Saudi Arabia.
The students were honored at an award ceremony held at the University of The Bahamas in Choices Restaurant where they were recognized for their exceptional academic achievements. Former Los Angeles Lakers basketball player, Rick Fox, in partnership with Partanna’s CEO, collaborated with the Office of the Prime Minister’s office to offer this unique opportunity to the UB students.
The ten-day AI course, which took place from April 29 to May 10, 2024, was led by instructors from KAUST, providing the students with valuable insights and knowledge in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Prime Minister Philip Brave Davis commended the students for their hard work and dedication, emphasizing the increasingly significant role that AI plays in transforming society.
