Trend Micro Introduces Generative AI to Vision One Cybersecurity Platform

Cybersecurity provider Trend Micro has integrated generative AI into its new Vision One platform, which brings together a range of capabilities including extended detection and response, attack surface risk management, and zero trust. The Vision One companion is powered by gen AI and helps security teams use natural language queries to assist with threat hunting and accelerate remediation. The technology enables security teams to understand and act on the data coming in more effectively. In addition, Trend Micro is using the technology to build out knowledge-based articles on how its technologies work, with customer support people also utilizing gen AI to help provide recommendations and answer user questions. Gen AI helps filter data, find patterns and anomalies, and understand the right commands, scripts, and tools needed to achieve the desired result. While Trend Micro has developed its own AI for years, its new gen AI capabilities are powered by Microsoft Azure OpenAI service, with strict data privacy measures in place.
