The discovery was made by TheSpAndroid, which found code strings in the app’s latest version hinting at the upcoming AI voice cloning feature. While no specific release date has been confirmed yet, references such as TikTok Voice Library and Create your voice with AI suggest that the feature is well underway.
According to screenshots shared by the outlet, users will have the ability to create an AI version of their voice in just 10 seconds, which can then be used in TikTok videos. The process involves recording a voice sample by reading provided text through the app’s user interface. The generated AI voice will be kept private and can be deleted at any time from the voice library to prevent unauthorized use.
In a recent development, TikTok has also launched its photo-sharing app called TikTok Notes, resembling Meta’s Instagram, allowing users to share photos with each other. Although currently available in select regions, TikTok Notes can be accessed using existing TikTok accounts.
