Google's generative AI support in Vertex AI is now available for developers, providing access to models like PaLM 2, Imagen, and Codey. Instabase, a San Francisco-based platform using AI to extract insights from unstructured data, has secured $45m in Series C funding, doubling its valuation to $2bn. Enterprises use the platform to process documents, automate processes and deploy apps. It is used by four of the top five banks in the US. The funding will be used to increase investment in generative AI. It competes with Google, AWS and Azure.
