Supply chain executives are increasingly turning to digital transformation to enhance operations in 2024. According to a survey conducted by Tive, a leading supply chain shipment visibility technology platform, 89% of respondents prioritize digital transformation. Real-time visibility emerged as a key component, with 77% of executives considering it essential for achieving their transformation goals.
Sustainability was also a significant factor for around 36% of respondents, highlighting the importance of real-time visibility in supporting corporate sustainability efforts. Krenar Komoni, CEO, and founder of Tive, emphasized the strategic necessity of real-time data in preempting disruptions and facilitating sustainability initiatives.
The survey, titled The State of Visibility 2024, revealed a shift towards investing in advanced technologies like IoT devices and AI to enhance visibility capabilities. These investments signify a strategic move by companies to leverage digital tools for improving supply chain resilience and competitiveness.
The report, which polled 244 U.S.-based executives and analysts across various industries, including food, pharmaceuticals, logistics, automotive, and healthcare, underscores the growing importance of real-time visibility in a rapidly evolving business environment. As companies continue to embrace digital transformation, real-time data and advanced technologies are set to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of supply chain operations.
