ADNEC Group and Emirates News Agency (WAM) have launched innovative platforms for knowledge sharing and experiences at the Global Media Congress 2023 (GMC) in Abu Dhabi. This congress, taking place from November 14th to 16th at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, aims to shape the future of the media industry under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The various platforms introduced in this second edition of the event include the Future Media Labs, the Innovation NextTech platform, Influencers’ platform, as well as Education and Training platforms. With over 27 panel sessions, training workshops, and more than 161 speakers and industry experts, the congress aims to attract media figures and leaders from around the world to generate innovative ideas for the industry’s future.
Mohamed Jalal Al Rayssi, Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee for GMC, stated that the diversity of platforms aims to cover all facets of the media industry. The congress aims to reflect the vibrancy and dynamism of the media as a crucial industry for global social and economic development.
The Global Media Congress will also offer various training workshops to enhance participants’ skills in sustainability, sports broadcasting, and AI. These workshops, delivered by more than 30 experts and specialists in the technology and media sectors, will introduce participants to the latest tools and technologies shaping the future of the media industry. Each workshop is expected to attract more than 40 participants.
The Media Future Labs at the congress will provide a space for industry executives, policymakers, and entrepreneurs to exchange ideas and develop strategies that will drive the media sector forward. These Labs will consist of six sessions, each moderated by an experienced industry professional, and will gather participants specialized in different fields from various countries.
Moreover, the Innovation and Startups platform will create an opportunity for individuals and companies to present their innovative ideas and new opportunities to prominent establishments, investors, and venture capital firms through 21 presentations over three days.
The Education platform aims to raise awareness and enhance knowledge by offering 21 practical sessions. Industry leaders will present their opinions and innovative ideas regarding the latest developments and trends in the media sector. The platform will include technical presentations, product showcases, interviews, group debates, and sessions focusing on AI.
Recognizing the importance of social media influencers, the Global Media Congress will bring together prominent influencers in the Middle East who have a significant presence in the region. Through 21 panels, these influencers will share insights and experiences with emerging influencers, discussing methods to increase followers, expand their fan base, and create engaging content.
The congress will include four new media sessions and roundtable discussions focusing on challenges and opportunities within the sector.
