Lee clarified that he had bought the gold band with a diamond for his ex-wife Anne 35 years ago. After their marriage ended in 2002, Anne remarried but sadly passed away in 2003 at the age of 45. Her second husband returned the ring to Lee after her death.
Lee had kept the ring in a box in his bedroom all these years and believed it was still there until he saw Karen wearing it in Hello! magazine. The whole situation has strained relations between Lee and his son, and he did not attend their summer wedding.
That ring is extremely sentimental to me. And it’s probably only worth £1,900 now. If things were different between me and Jordan he could well have had my blessing. But the truth is, he didn’t, Lee expressed.
