Snapchat is making it easier for users to communicate and interact with their AI chatbot with the new addition of My AI. This AI chatbot is free and can be added to group chats by simply mentioning it with an @ symbol. The chatbot can also be personalized with a custom Bitmoji avatar, making it more personalized and engaging. With new updates, My AI can now recommend AR filters to use in Snapchat’s camera as well as places to visit from the app’s map tab. Furthermore, Snapchat is soon looking to launch a visual messaging feature that allows people to receive generated responses based on their images. An example of this was given during Snapchat’s annual conference, whereby an image of tomatoes in a garden prompted the chatbot to generate an image of gazpacho soup- a great example of how AI-generated responses that useful to users.
