Small Businesses Struggle with Marketing Due to Lack of Confidence, Time Constraints, and Knowledge

Over half of those surveyed reported having only an hour or less each day to focus on marketing efforts. As a result, many small businesses find themselves putting off marketing tasks in favor of other activities, leading to procrastination and missed opportunities for growth.
Another major issue highlighted in the report is the lack of knowledge among small business owners when it comes to marketing. Many are unsure about the best channels to use, how to improve their campaigns, and what strategies will be most effective. This knowledge gap hinders their ability to reach new customers and maximize the impact of their marketing efforts.
Despite these challenges, there is optimism among small businesses about the potential for improvement. Many plan to increase their marketing budgets this year, with 39 percent expecting to invest more resources in marketing. Additionally, 41 percent of respondents plan to broaden their use of marketing channels in 2024, recognizing the value of leveraging multiple platforms for better results.
