OpenAI introduces drag-and-drop function in ChatGPT for iOS and iPadOS users

Date:

On Thursday, the American artificial intelligence (AI) research company OpenAI announced an update to their popular ChatGPT app. The drag-and-drop support feature is now available for iOS and iPadOS devices, allowing users to send messages to other applications more easily. The update also includes Siri and Shortcuts integration, meaning users can use the app directly with Siri and Shortcuts. OpenAI also added shared links for the app last month, allowing users to create and share ChatGPT conversations.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman recently confirmed that the company is not currently training GPT5, the successor to GPT4. Altman met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi this week to discuss the need for global regulation. At a session at Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi, Altman said his company was practicing self-regulation and testing the limits of their technology. Altman will continue his six-nation tour, which includes stops in Israel, Jordan, Qatar, UAE, and South Korea.

Although AI technology is still evolving, the Indian government quotes NASSCOM data from February 2021, showing that the overall AI employment in India is estimated at 416,000 professionals and is expected to grow at a rate of 20-25 percent. AI is also expected to contribute an additional $957 billion to India‘s economy by 2035. Many countries around the world are using AI technologies to improve service delivery and reduce human intervention, but concerns of job cuts remain.
