New Generative AI-Driven Workflow Tools from Salesforce

Date:

Salesforce, the global cloud computing giant, is developing a pair of innovative, AI-driven workflow tools. Generative AI technology is the key enabler behind their push, to enable people to request tasks with written commands and in return the systems can generate SQL queries and API calls which can help transition work across systems with minimal coding.

Liam Doyle, Senior Vice President and General Manager of MuleSoft Automation, elaborates on the project: “It includes our data warehouse Data Cloud (formerly Genie), our generative AI system Einstein GPT, and our workflow organization tool Flow, all converging for a powerful end-to-end machine stack. We are allowing customers to leverage all the data from across the business and create complex multi-system workflows from that data.”

Salesforce is working with early design customers to develop and test tools such as ‘Einstein GPT for Flow’ and ‘Data Cloud for Flow’. The ‘Einsteing GPT for Flow’ tool allows for setting tasks with little or no coding with just typing what action you need taken. The ‘Data Cloud for Flow’ is additionally triggered by data-driven events and enables users to write celebratory text as a notification as a form of workflow, such as when a salesperson reaches a milestone.

The technology is set to open up incredible opportunities to build and deploy complex workflows with minimal coding, using an amalgam of models from OpenAI, Google and Meta and their own. The aim is to make it live by June in an early beta version and by next year, to make it publicly available.
