Mercedes-Benz plans to integrate artificial intelligence into the voice control of its vehicles through the use of ChatGPT. Drivers can now access the in-car voice control service via the MBUX Voice Assistant’s Hey Mercedes. The company will utilize Microsoft Corporation’s Azure OpenAI service to integrate ChatGPT into vehicles. An optional beta program allowing customers to test the technology will begin on June 16 in the US and is expected to last three months. The beta program can be accessed through the Mercedes me app or directly from the vehicle using the voice command Hey Mercedes, I want to join the beta program. Mercedes-Benz joins other car manufacturers in using AI technology to enhance user experience.
