Mercedes Attempts to Integrate ChatGPT in Vehicles

Mercedes-Benz has collaborated with Microsoft to incorporate the ChatGPT natural language model into its in-car voice assistant, making it capable of engaging in conversations on a variety of topics. Furthermore, Mercedes is looking into ChatGPT plugins that allow drivers to make restaurant reservations and book movie tickets through natural language. Initially, the feature will be accessible as part of a three-month beta program in select models, but Mercedes has stated that it may consider expanding and making the service permanent in the future. While holding lengthy discussions on the road could lead to distracted driving, the fact that it is voice-only should alleviate some concerns for recklessness.
