Reliance Jio, India’s leading telecom provider, recently unveiled a range of new unlimited plans scheduled to debut on July 3. These plans underscore the company’s dedication to affordable internet access and showcase the vast benefits of its rapidly expanding 5G network, which currently covers almost 85% of India’s operational 5G cells.
The new tariff plans offered by Reliance Jio start at Rs 189 for 2 GB per month and go up to Rs 3,599 for a 2.5 GB per day annual plan. Notably, all plans with 2GB per day and above will include unlimited 5G data. The company proudly states that its True 5G network operates on a standalone architecture, ensuring faster speeds and lower latency in comparison to non-standalone 5G networks. Unlimited 5G data will be accessible to plans providing 2GB per day or more.
Akash M Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio, expressed the company’s focus on fostering ubiquitous, high-quality, and affordable internet services to support Digital India. He affirmed Jio’s unwavering commitment to prioritizing the nation and its customers, emphasizing ongoing investments dedicated to India’s digital growth.
As a pivotal player in driving data consumption and smartphone adoption nationwide, Reliance Jio has significantly impacted the telecom industry. The company’s competitive entrance prompted rivals to revise their tariffs and enhance data offerings to meet consumer demands effectively.
In a bid to expand their digital ecosystem, Jio announced the launch of two new applications: JioSafe and JioTranslate. Priced at Rs 199 per month, JioSafe offers secure calling, messaging, and file transfer services. On the other hand, JioTranslate, priced at Rs 99 per month, harnesses the power of artificial intelligence to facilitate multi-lingual communication by translating voice calls, messages, texts, and images. An exciting offer is that Jio is providing both applications free of charge for a year to its users, further enhancing the overall value proposition of its services.
