Iran-Vietnam Business Forum to Boost Economic Cooperation
The Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) is set to host an Iran-Vietnam business forum on August 9, coinciding with the visit of a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to Tehran. The forum, titled Regulations and policies for the development of economic, commercial, and investment cooperation between Iran and Vietnam, aims to strengthen economic ties between the two countries.
The 70-member Vietnamese delegation, led by the country’s parliamentary spokesman, will attend the event. The forum intends to introduce Vietnam’s economy and market, familiarize attendees with the country’s market needs and capacities, highlight business and investment advantages, and discuss trade and investment regulations.
In addition to the forum, representatives from Iranian and Vietnamese private sector companies are scheduled to participate in business-to-business meetings, forging connections and exploring potential collaborations. The Vietnamese delegation comprises government officials and representatives from various sectors, including agriculture, aquatics, technology, renewable energy, textile, trade, and urban development services.
Preparations for the Iran-Vietnam business forum have been underway for some time. Last week, the acting head of ICCIMA’s international affairs department met with the head of the commercial office of the Vietnam Embassy in Tehran to discuss cooperation for organizing the forum. The Vietnamese side requested that necessary arrangements be made for the event.
During a meeting between ICCIMA Head Hossein Selahvarzi and Vietnam’s Ambassador to Tehran Luong Quoc Huy in mid-July, the Vietnamese envoy mentioned the upcoming visit of the Vietnamese parliamentary speaker to Iran. The Vietnamese delegation accompanying the parliamentary speaker is expected to consist of 70 officials and businesspersons. Selahvarzi expressed the readiness of Iran and Vietnam’s private sectors for joint investments and the utilization of barter trade capacities to enhance economic cooperation.
This Iran-Vietnam business forum aims to foster economic collaboration and create opportunities for trade and investment between the two nations. As representatives from diverse sectors gather to exchange insights and explore partnerships, the forum provides a platform for enhancing bilateral ties and strengthening economic cooperation.
