On his official two-day visit to India, South Korean Foreign Minister Park Jin discussed ways of deepening bilateral cooperation as the two countries celebrate their 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties. While talking to ANI, Park highlighted the essential partnership between India and South Korea in the strategy for a prosperous Indo-Pacific region. He also stated that the challenges seen in the present day can only be solved through collaboration between countries that share core values like democracy and rule of law. During the visit, Park mentioned several key focus areas in which both countries could work together, these included artificial intelligence, big data, space exploration, trade, investment and supply chain stabilisation, manufacturing sector and critical minerals. Additionally, he also suggested that both countries should have wider cultural exchange between the young generation to understand each other better. Lastly, Park expressed optimism about India’s G20 Presidency and said that South Korea would be pleased to work with India in contributing to the successful organisation of the G20 summit in September.
