IIT Mandi has announced a new certification program in Data Science and Machine Learning that will be open to STEM graduates, working professionals and final semester students. The program, which will last for six months, will cover Mathematical and Statistical Foundations, Computing and Data Science, Data Processing and Modeling, and Data Analytics tools such as Tableau, Excel, and PowerBI.
The certification program is a collaboration between the National Skills Development Corporation and IIT Mandi. On completion of the program, participants will get placement and internship opportunities. They will also have the unique opportunity to experience campus immersion at IIT Mandi for a week.
In addition to the certification program, IIT Mandi is also offering 1-2 month training programs in Machine Learning, IoT-based Automation, and Robotics. These programs are open to Engineering, BCA, MCA, ITI, Polytechnic, Teachers, Trainers, and Working Professionals. The aim of this program is to improve job prospects for participants, including Himachali candidates with some IT background or experience in an IT-related field.
The courses are designed to be industry-relevant and will cover topics like Artificial Intelligence, Industrial Automation, Machine Learning, IoT, and Drone technology, based on the specialized area of interest of each participant.
Registration for the courses has already begun and will remain open till 15th June 2023. The courses are free and can be attended both online and offline.
These programs are part of IIT Mandi’s efforts to create a strong foundation for data science and machine learning in India by providing quality education and training to interested candidates. By offering personalized programs that align with individual interests and skillsets, IIT Mandi hopes to attract and develop more talent in this field and help bridge the skills gap in tech-related industries.
