Electric Scooter by One Electric: Optimized for Last-Mile Delivery Services

Date:

Noida based One Electric announced the launch of their 2nd electric two wheeler, designed, developed and made in India. This makes One Electric one of the few companies to have achieved this feat – a first for the Indian market. The product, named KRIDN XR, is a crossover between a scooter and a motorcycle, built with the data and feedback from thousands of delivery vehicles plying in last mile operations. It is built with features that make it ideal for such tough and high intensity operations such as large wheels to handle the potholes comfortably, large seat to easily carry load, ample space near feet to carry the bag and a heavy duty suspension to provide a smoother ride. Some of its other highlighted features are a 55 kmph top speed, 100 km range per charge and 3+2 years warranty.

Gaurav Uppal, the CEO of One Electric, considers this launch as an effort to create the ‘perfect delivery vehicle’ for the Indian market. He also spoke about their plans to export the KRIDN XR to other markets, with focus on India, Africa, Europe and South East Asia. Abhijeet Shah, the COO of One Electric, added that their choice of mid-driven motor gave the perfect balance for enabling better torque with heavy loads, even in the middle of a flyover, and even when travelling up steeper gradients with a pillion. They plan to launch KRIDN XR in early June and will be subsequently rolling out deliveries beginning July 2021.

One Electric, co-founded in 2018 by Gaurav Uppal and Abhijeet Shah, is striving to become a global player in the electric two-wheeler market by 2025. With a focus on research and development, they are constantly innovating and introducing quality products to meet the ever changing customer needs. Their motorcycle model, KRIDN X is popular across multiple African countries and they are soon hoping to launch the new model. With their commitment to expanding their portfolio and becoming a prominent name in the industry, they are certain to make giant leaps into the future.
