Polygon Labs, a leading blockchain protocol provider, has joined forces with Feature, an entertainment studio and technology company, to create a revolutionary racing franchise, dubbed Lollipop. Written and executive produced by Fast and the Furious veterans David Ayer and Chris Long, Lollipop combines streaming film/TV, gaming, and professional sports, inviting fans to actively participate with gamification.
Powered by Polygon’s blockchain protocol, the franchise promises a unique content experience and the potential to morph traditional and tech-enabled media into multi-layered interactive experiences. Feature have had great success with a Netflix collaboration that used their technology and their graphic novel franchise Huxley, pairing with Hollywood studio BRON Studios to produce the feature film Gossamer. Their success led to a licensing agreement with Coinbase last year.
Cedar Park Studios, founded by David Ayer and Chris Long, are also behind the project, with the pair working on the narrative section of the franchise. Cedar Park are currently producing The Beekeeper starring Jason Statham, with Ayer as director and Long as producer.
Steven Ilous, CEO of Feature, expressed their excitement to be working with Polygon Labs: “we’re incredibly excited to be partnering with Polygon Labs as we pioneer next-generation content experiences and bring the world’s first next-generation storytelling project to market with Lollipop.”
Ryan Wyatt, President of Polygon Labs sees the project as “pioneering” and expressed their excitement to “help bring their vision to life.” Fans looking to explore the franchise can visit lollipop.racing. Here, they will find content, trailers, media, contests, and more.
