The ChatGPT app is rolling out in India and other countries after its initial launch in the US. The app’s features are comparable to the website, but it becomes even more useful for finding help, knowledge and engaging in interesting conversations. With support for Hindi language and the integration of Whisper, the app’s open-source speech recognition system, iPhone users are guaranteed an improved experience. An Android version of the app is also expected to hit the market soon.
However, it’s not all been a smooth ride since its launch. Several US users have reported experiencing battery drainage issues and overheating problems while operating the application. Unfortunately, too little is known to comment on the same situation in India. Despite the availability of features, users’ worries seem to have been compounded with the revelation of several bugs, like excessive battery drains, overheating, and reports of incompatibility on some devices.
Turning off the haptic feedback on the devices does not appear to resolve these issues. It looks like the issues are only limited to the users from other countries and has not been seen by Indian users so far. ChatGPT is hard at work trying to fix these issues, and a new, bug-free version of the app is expected soon.
