Around 2,500 users of ChatGPT from Bangladesh have suffered from data breaches, according to a recent report by Russia’s Group-IB. The security firm states that in the past year, credentials of 2,463 Bangladeshi users were breached by hackers. A total of 101,134 ChatGPT accounts worldwide were compromised in the last year, with over a quarter of these occurring in May 2023. The Asia-Pacific region was found to be the most affected, with India ranking top in terms of accounts that were hacked. The report recommends users update their passwords regularly and enable two-factor authentication to secure their accounts properly.
