Apple is reportedly expanding its AI capabilities to include its Vision Pro headsets, according to recent reports. This move goes beyond the previously announced Apple Intelligence features on the iPhone, iPad, and Mac, signaling a strategic push towards integrating AI across all its latest devices.
The Vision Pro, while impressive, has been noted for its high price point and limited audience reach thus far. However, with Apple Intelligence set to enhance user experiences with improved Siri, proofreading tools, and custom emojis, it makes sense for these features to be available on the Vision Pro as well.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is still in the process of adapting these AI features for mixed reality experiences on the Vision Pro, a departure from how they appear on traditional screens like iPhones and MacBooks. Gurman also mentions that Apple is revamping its in-store demos for the Vision Pro, allowing potential buyers to view personal media on the headset and offering a more comfortable Dual Loop headband option.
In addition to the AI integration on the Vision Pro, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that Apple may introduce AirPods with infrared cameras by 2026. These new AirPods could potentially support enhanced spatial audio experiences and gesture controls when paired with the Vision Pro headset.
As Apple continues to innovate in the realm of AI and mixed reality devices, consumers can expect a seamless integration of cutting-edge technology across their product lineup, catering to a more immersive and intuitive user experience.
