Alibaba Plans to Integrate AI Similar to ChatGPT in Communication Apps

Alibaba Group Holding Ltd has announced its intention to implement its most advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) system into its Slack-like DingTalk messaging app and the Tingwu meeting assistant. The system is known as the Tongyi Qianwen, which is a Large Language Model (LLM) developed by Alibaba Cloud. Its main purpose is to improve the user experience and increase competitiveness for the various businesses under Alibaba. The assistant, Tongyi Tingwu, will interact with the LLM by analyzing audio and video files and generating text summaries. The DingTalk cloud unit will also integrate the bot to enhance its daily video and audio consumption. Internet players such as Baidu Inc. and hardware companies like Asustek Computer Inc. have also rapidly hastened the release of LLMs after OpenAI’s breakthrough ChatGPT bot.
