AI Can Save Marketers Hours a Week, According to Salesforce Report

Date:

A recent survey conducted by Salesforce and YouGov shows that AI tools can potentially save marketers up to five hours of work each week. The study involved 1,029 full-time marketers from the US, UK, and Australia, with over 50% of the respondents already using generative AI tools in their daily work lives. The survey found that 76% of those already using AI tools use them for producing copy and material, while 71% use them for creative inspiration and 63% for analyzing market data.

Despite the potential benefits of AI tools, nearly one-third of the surveyed marketers cited accuracy and quality issues, while one-fifth expressed apprehension about trusting the smart assistants. Additionally, almost 18% of respondents raised concerns about job safety, citing the possibility of AI reducing the number of workers required.

Salesforce has already announced several rounds of layoffs as it struggles with the challenging economy and deploys more AI tools across its operations. Thus, it’s not surprising that more workers are becoming increasingly concerned about job security.

It’s essential to carefully balance the potential benefits of AI tools with their limitations. These tools could substantially reduce the workload for marketers, freeing up more of their time to focus on other tasks. However, AI tools may not be reliable enough for jobs that require extreme accuracy or handling sensitive information.

Overall, while marketers are excited about the possibilities that AI tools can provide, they need to approach them carefully and balance the potential benefits with their limitations in mind.
