Recently, RiskHedge, held an interview on the topic of Artificial Intelligence. The questions that came up in the discussion included ‘Is ChatGPT woke?’, ‘Is my job safe?’ and ‘How does ChatGPT Work?’. It is through this piece of writing that we will explore the answers to these questions.
ChatGPT is large language model (LLM), similar to Gmail’s autocomplete feature. It continues to learn as it correctly predicts what you type, with its predictions being based on those taken from billions of pages across the web. OpenAI is the creator of ChatGPT, the most popular and publically available LLM.
OpenAI’s Dall-E, is an equally impressive model, in that it can interpret data from both images and words. It even creates images solely based on how you phrase your query.
When it comes to the potential of jobs being taken away by AI, the answer is both surprising and reassuring. Technology has never caused mass unemployment before, and the same scenario is expected to remain true. For instance, a study conducted by economist David Autor, a showed that 60% of the jobs associated with the 1950 US Census, no longer exist, illustrating that mainly technology is behind the lfurther job opportunities.
This does not mean that certain industries such as consulting firms, are necessarily safe from competition. AI is expected to cause a stir for the more expensive consulting firms like Accenture, with AI bots expected to soon offer expertise on demand with cheaper prices.
Finally the question of ChatGPT’s political beliefs raised attention in the interview. OpenAI have publicly stated their dedication to ChatGPT remaining politically correct, and with it being biased against politically incorrect statements and opinions.
Chris Wood and Stephen McBride are the two individuals present in the interview and have a well-versed understanding of AI trends and the best opprotunity to profit from them. Chris Wood notably has been covering trends in AI for the past decade. Stephen McBride is an American businessman and entrepreneur best known for founding RiskHedge and the RiskHedge Report.
At the end of the day, it is important to not fall for false beliefs about AI. Although powerful, AI bots will never replace the logic offered by human use.
