Adobe revealed today that they are integrating AI tools from OpenAI, Pika Labs, and Runway into their Premiere Pro video editing software. This move aims to provide creators with enhanced flexibility and power in bringing their creative visions to life.
Ashley Still, Senior Vice President of the Creative Product Group at Adobe, expressed excitement about the potential of incorporating generative AI innovations into core Premiere Pro workflows. This integration is expected to address common challenges faced by video editors, allowing them to focus more on their craft.
Premiere Pro, widely used in television and film production, will now offer video editors the ability to leverage video generation models for B-roll content. Adobe also announced the inclusion of Firefly, their own AI model used in Photoshop, within Premiere Pro.
In a separate development, Adobe introduced the Acrobat AI Assistant, priced at a monthly subscription starting at $4.99. Initially launched as a beta version for Acrobat desktop and web in February, the tool now extends its features to Acrobat Reader mobile with voice commands and through Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge extensions.
Overall, Adobe’s efforts to integrate advanced AI tools into their creative software ecosystem mark a significant step towards enhancing the video editing process for professionals. This move is set to redefine video creation by combining cutting-edge technologies with traditional editing techniques.
