New Features of ChatGPT from OpenAI: Go Incognito!

Date:

Artificial intelligence leader OpenAI has announced new features for its popular chatbot ChatGPT, including the introduction of an “incognito” mode and control over the chat history. The mode is now available to all users and provides a more secure way to manage data.

The new “incognito” mode, explained by OpenAI in a Tuesday blog post, will not utilize conversations to train and improve the chatbot’s models and will also disable the history sidebar for users. The controls are located in the ChatGPT settings and can be changed at any time. This feature is particularly useful for businesses who want to better control the data being used in the chatbot.

To that end, OpenAI has also announced the launch of its ChatGPT Business subscription for those looking for more security. Additionally, the Export option in the ChatGPT settings will allow users to easily export data from their conversations in the form of an email.

OpenAI’s chief technology officer, Mira Murati, explained that the introduction of these features was to put users “in the driver’s seat” when it comes to data management. Murati voiced her opinion on the need for AI systems to be regulated, noting that “a lot more needs to happen”.

OpenAI is a San Francisco-based startup that is supported by Microsoft Corporation. Their previous success in the machine learning and artificial intelligence scene has been the reasons for their popularity. This new update to ChatGPT is sure to make the use of the service more secure, and appealing to the businesses who use it.
