Developing ChatGPT Robots with OpenAI

Date:

OpenAI, the AI-powered technology startup is dealing with robots of a new kind. The company recently invested $23.5 million into 1X, a Norwegian robotics firm. With the support of OpenAI’s resources, 1X is expected to roll out two of its ChatGPT robots – EVE and NEO – in the coming weeks or months.

Arne Tonning, an Alliance Venture Capital partner said that the company is exploring opportunities and applications in retail, health-care and logistics with their top-tier clients and partners. This means that soon enough, ChatGPT robots could possibly take over previously handled jobs in no time.

NEO is meant to accompany human workers, much like EVE is designed to manipulate objects in a gentle and precise manner. Furthermore, the face of the robot is a black screen that has LED representations of facial features. This allows it to interact with the objects it manipulates, adapting to their textures in order to ensure they don’t crush or deform. As for EVE, its body structure is unique. It has wheels in place of its legs and creates no noise. It is also meant to manipulate objects gently and can also be used for repetitive tasks.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, is also trying to enter robotics. He revealed that his company is creating a humanoid robot designed to do household chores. This opens up many possibilities for the consumer robotics industry and ChatGPT robots.

George Strakhov, the chief strategy officer of the advertising firm DDB EMEA believes that AI will help in making robotics a much more sophisticated branch of technology. He believes that the usage of generative AI will allow robots to be more responsive and dynamic, when it comes to understanding and solving problems. With ChatGPT robots, he believes that potential drivers could interact with the robots by talking as a mean of control.

This will certainly make robotics and AI technologies more integral in our lives in the near future. OpenAI’s investment in 1X shows a lot of potential in the robotics and AI industry and setting the stage for the future. If things proceed according to the plans, soon we could be seeing ChatGPT robots rolling out in the near future.
