Over 40% of IT Leaders Lack Confidence in Their Digital Infrastructure’s Ability to Support AI Technology Implementation

According to a recent survey, over 40% of IT leaders doubt their infrastructure’s readiness to accommodate AI technology. The survey involved 2,900 IT decision-makers across the globe and discovered that 85% are already using or are planning to use AI in multiple key functions, with IT operations being the most likely (85%). Cybersecurity and customer experience followed closely behind (81% and 79%, respectively). Tech leaders are advised to consider whether their IT frameworks can accommodate the required data ingestion, sharing, storage, and processing of massive and diverse data sets for scalable AI solutions. The survey also revealed that IT teams seek expertise in AI and machine learning to optimize the deployment of infrastructure. With increasing AI uptake, organizations will benefit from high-speed, secure access to both internal and external data sources spread across multiple clouds and data brokers.
