Only 26% of Meta Employees Confident in Leadership of Mark Zuckerberg and Company, Says Report

Date:

Meta, the parent company of Facebook, is facing low employee morale as multiple rounds of layoffs, spending cuts, and strategy changes have left workers feeling undervalued and uncertain about their job security. A survey conducted at the end of May found that only 26% of employees were confident in the company’s leadership, while only 43% felt valued. This marks a drop from October 2021, when 31% of employees were confident and 58% felt valued. Meta announced its plans for a year of efficiency last year, which included slashing 11,000 jobs, or about 13% of its workforce. A second round of layoffs affecting 10,000 staffers followed in March, and Meta has since pulled back on its Metaverse ambitions while embracing AI. However, Wall Street seems unfazed by the negative employee sentiment, with Meta’s stock up 112% year-to-date.
