78% of ‘ChatGPT’ Domains Found to be Malicious: HUB 53 Exposes the Shocking Truth

DNS security company, DNSSense, has revealed that 78% of domains containing the term ChatGPT are potentially malicious, according to an analysis using the firm’s AI-powered domain categorisation tool, Cyber X-Ray. The tool identified 4,906 domains containing the word, of which 4,113 were active. Of these, 3,240 were defined as potentially malicious, including 1,993 for phishing and a further 1,217 showing potentially malicious content. A total of 30 were found to contain malware or viruses. GoDaddy.com was the largest registrar and com was the extension with the most potentially malicious domains, tallying 1,218. The tool was used to scan all domains registered since the start of the year with the term.
