Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed support for collaborations that can accelerate India‘s digital transformation after meeting with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. The meeting discussed India‘s tech ecosystem and how the country can benefit from artificial intelligence (AI). Altman is currently on a six-nation tour and considers India‘s entrepreneurial spirit and start-ups to be of a high quality. Altman stated his AI company is self-regulated after spending eight months ensuring its GPT technology was released safely. Altman also highlighted the importance of self-regulation, and his company’s partnership with organisations to determine testing limits, and the need for the world to not be left solely in the hands of companies.
