OpenAI‘s CEO, Sam Altman, and his team are looking for IT professionals in India to join their workspace. Unlike tech giants like Microsoft and Google, OpenAI does not require strict degree requirements for applicants. Altman emphasized that some of their most accomplished researchers are either undergraduates or those who have dropped out of college. He assured the audience that OpenAI values talent above all and that undergraduates would be a great fit for the organization. In a conversation with software engineer Atty Eleti, Altman urged students to email sam@openai.com if they use the Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and create remarkable products contributing to open-source projects. Altman also revealed his excitement about establishing a presence in India, partnering with and providing funding for startups. He praised the Prime Minister’s insightful understanding of AI and its benefits, discussing India‘s early adoption of ChatGPT.
