Improved iPad support and Shortcuts integration now available on ChatGPT for iOS

Date:

OpenAI has recently launched a new update to its popular ChatGPT app for iOS and iPadOS. The update promises to greatly enhance the user experience of the app by taking advantage of the entire iPad screen. The updated app now also includes drag and drop capabilities, Siri support, and Shortcuts integration.

Previously, the ChatGPT app for iPad was simply an enlarged version of the iPhone app, resulting in a less streamlined user experience. However, the new update now allows it to run in full-screen mode on iPads, providing users with more space for their chat interface. Additionally, the drag and drop feature allows users to transfer chat messages from the app to other applications easily.

Moreover, the updated version of the app now works seamlessly with Siri and Shortcuts. With Siri integration, users can now summon ChatGPT through voice commands, while the Shortcuts integration allows users to initiate a new chat session by generating a ChatGPT query with Apple’s Shortcuts automation.

OpenAI continues to improve its ChatGPT app since its launch last month. The upgrades include improvements to chat history and voice input. In February, the company launched a premium subscription called ChatGPT Plus, which offers priority access and the latest GPT-4 model for $20 per month.

The Android version of the app is expected to launch soon. The update is a welcome improvement, making the ChatGPT app on iPad more functional than ever before. The app is receiving positive feedback from iOS users who appreciate the new features, optimized performance, and updated interface.
