OpenAI’s ChatGPT Attracts One Billion Monthly Visitors

Date:

OpenAI.com, the developer of ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence tool that helps businesses operate faster, is experiencing tremendous website growth. According to research conducted by Veza Digital, a U.S.-based SaaS Webflow design and performance marketing agency, web traffic to openai.com grew by 54% in volume during March 2023, making it the fastest-growing website ever. The site is rapidly approaching one billion visitors per month and is quickly climbing the global rankings of the Internet’s 50 most visited websites.

Veza Digital CEO Stefan Katanic believes the website will reach the unicorn benchmark faster than any other domain. Katanic attributes the growth to public interest in AI-powered solutions, which legislators are rushing to regulate before they spiral into unchartered territories. Approximately every ninth visitor to openai.com is from the United States. The real estate industry comprises a significant portion of these visitors, as many proptech companies are signing up with ChatGPT, including Zillow and Redfin.

Despite the benefits of artificial intelligence, questions surrounding plagiarism, ownership, licensing, and accuracy have been raised. Technology coach and proptech analyst Mike Delprete advises everyone to take AI’s onset with a healthy bit of skepticism. While basic, proof-of-concept ChatGPT wrapped with a different skin is what is happening now, he believes the industry cannot afford to be wrong about AI’s impact. The industry should be prepared for the change ChatGPT and its competitors bring.

As AI becomes integrated across the industry, openai.com’s visitor count will likely continue to rise, and the tool will learn more about buying and selling homes. The integration of AI can provide benefits to businesses of all kinds and is inevitable.
