A design firm created using AI tools in just one weekend has tricked some people into believing it’s real. Interface designer Alex Cornell used the generative AI tools Midjourney and ChatGPT to create Andever Design Partners, which received inquiries from Twitter users asking how they could buy furniture or get clients. The whole project only took a weekend, proving how easy it was to use the AI tools. However, Cornell did have to learn a few tricks to make the images more consistent. He found that using the same adjectives in prompts helped to keep the residents consistent, and that it was important to have the same prompt for the background to keep the views out of the windows the same. Though the generated images were impressive overall, there were small flaws that were difficult to correct. Despite this, Cornell believes that the ease with which he was able to create the design firm was surprising and impressive, and he hopes to use the AI tools in future projects.
