ChatGPT Utilizing Microsoft Bing for Responding to Queries

Date:

Microsoft has announced at its Build conference that OpenAI’s wildly popular generative AI chatbot, ChatGPT, will now use Bing as its default search engine source for answers. This initiative gives ChatGPT access to up-to-date information and answers from the web. As a result, ChatGPT users can access real-time answers that are more comprehensive than ever before.

Yusuf Mehdi, the Corporate Vice President of Microsoft, elaborated on the partnership between Microsoft and OpenAI in his blog post. Very soon, users of ChatGPT Plus will be able to directly access Bing from ChatGPT’s answers by enabling a plugin. This search engine integration also allows ChatGPT to add citations to its answers so people can learn more. The plugin will also be available to free users of ChatGPT soon.

Microsoft also equipped the popular OpenAI GPT models with new plugins on Azure. ChatGPT, Bing, Microsoft 365, and third-party services are just a few examples of the models the plugins are created for. The plugin will also make it easier for companies to create their own generative AI chatbot copilots.

Overall, this update to the ChatGPT experience will be a huge leap forward in terms of giving users access to real-time, more comprehensive answers. Microsoft and OpenAI’s collaboration will definitely transform the way people use ChatGPT in the future.
