Mo Yan Seeking ChatGPT Assistance to Craft Citation for Renowned Author Yu Hua

Date:

On Tuesday, Chinese Nobel Prize winner Mo Yan turned to the help of ChatGPT for help in crafting a prize citation for fellow Chinese author, Yu Hua. Mo shared his long-standing friendship with Yu during an award ceremony and recalled the many stories they had experienced over the years. Mo related how he had tried for several days to write the prize citation without success, thus he asked a PhD student to employ ChatGPT to write the citation instead.
