Withings Wants You to Skip Its Latest Smart Scale

Date:

Withings has released its latest smart scale called Body Smart, which stands out from its premium models due to its more affordable price point of $100. The scale is available in both black and white colors and comes with the bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) system to accurately measure heart rate, visceral fat mass, fat, muscle, and bone mass, and much more.

The Body Smart scale also distinguishes between users and can estimate the user’s resting calorie burn rate, or Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), in addition to the biological metabolic age compared to an average human in the same age group. The scale also offers a feature called “eyes closed mode”, which can flash motivational messages when the user steps onto the scale. It also has the ability to measure a toddler’s body weight when held in the arms.

For those who want a more personalized experience, the accompanying app offers users access to tailor-made wellness programs and detailed breakdowns of body measurements. It can also be used with Google and Apple apps and hardware, such as the Apple Watch.

Withings is a leader in health and wellness tech, providing innovative products and services that allow users to monitor and track their health from their own homes. Founded in 2008, the Paris-based company has received numerous awards, including 4 CES Innovation Awards in 2014, 4 CES Innovation Awards Honorees in 2015, and the 2015 iF Design Award for the Activité Pop.
