Sensory, a producer of voice AI for consumer products, have released an update that integrates ChatGPT and other AI technologies for generating conversational voice responses on consumer devices. This technology upgrade is tailored to suit devices that lack keyboards and large screens, like in-ear voice assistants, smartwatches, smartphones, automotive infotainment systems and more. It delivers speedy, efficient conversations on consumer products and allows the support of voice chat capabilities for various electronics firms and their customers.
Todd Mozer, the CEO of Sensory, claims that generative AI adds a new level of potential to consumer devices and aims to offer more tailored voice assistances. Sensory’s AI stack includes conversational AI which allows people to ask further questions and commands to add more information and make conversations more natural and human-like.
Sensory have also presented their hybrid cloud + edge AI platform, enabling businesses to combine several powerful Artificial Intelligence technologies for an improved end-user experience and increased safety. Examples include ultra-low power devices like smartwatches which can use voice recognition, speaker verification, voice commands and sound identification with the help of AI running on-device. More complex tasks such as domain-specific assistants as well as natural language understanding engines can be transferred onto smartphones or conventional and cloud-based AI inference processes, combining AI with Generative AI to offer more accurate and thoroughly considered voice assistances.
