Voice.ai raises $6M for real-time voice changer with almost half a million users

Voice.ai, a real-time voice changer technology, has secured $6 million in funding as its user base approaches 500,000. The company plans to use the investment to expand into new areas and develop its voice changing technology. Leading the funding round are Mucker Capital and M13. Previously, Voice.ai relied on word-of-mouth promotion and self-funding, which amounted to $3 million. The company’s tools are currently being used by gamers, content creators, and Vtubers on various platforms such as TikTok, Zoom, Discord, and more. Voice.ai allows users to change and disguise their voices in real-time through its library of over 50,000 voice filters. The funding will be used to hire additional technical talent, build new Software Development Kits (SDKs) and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), and add multi-language support for platforms like Meta, Unreal, and Unity. Furthermore, Voice.ai aims to expand into new applications like singing. The company’s interface enables users to create or select from a wide range of pre-created voices for live use or recordings. As demand for the service has overwhelmed the servers, it is speculated that part of the funding will be used to increase server capacity. Voice.ai aims to democratize voice AI technology by making it accessible and affordable to individuals. The company takes a different approach than other voice AI companies, focusing on individual users instead of enterprise solutions. Voice.ai aims to retain the core elements of a user’s speech, such as emotion and pacing, while providing a new and unique voice in real-time. The funding will also support the company’s efforts to build a network of developers using and integrating its technology.
