Video hosting and sharing platform Vimeo has launched a set of AI-powered video creation tools aimed at entry-level video creators. Available from July 17 as part of Vimeo’s $20-per-month Standard plan, the offerings will include a teleprompter tool that displays a script that can be customised with different font sizes and pacing, a script generator which relies on generative AI to create a brief description, length and other inputs, and a text-based video editor that identifies and deletes filler words and awkward pauses. The features use OpenAI’s API and were created to help those lacking the skills, time and resources to achieve intended effects.
