Founded in 2016, with the mission to automate HR processes, Amara began with ‘HireXP’, a recruitment automation product used to predict which candidates would join after accepting an offer letter. In 2019, the company expanded to include employee engagement strategies with AI chatbots.
Amara is broke ground in the HR technology space by introducing a chatbot programmed to interact with employees in a human manner. Furthermore, the chatbot focuses on proactively identifying those at risk of attrition, gauging emotional and psychological investment, diverse company culture and employer branding among many other features. Their chatbot is particularly noteworthy for being affordable and customizable, producing real-time insights for global organizations.
The AI-driven chatbot industry is growing at a quick rate, with more companies recognizing the benefits it can provide. In India, 57 percent of IT professionals report their organizations have adopted AI technology, while over 27 percent indicate they are exploring use cases. To capitalize on this space, Amara has been continuously evolving its product offering and growing its user base.
Going forward, Amara’s main focus will be on modules to fill the gaps in people processes; such as launching a new module to manage OKRs and voice capabilities. Furthermore, the company plans to increase its employee count from 30 to 50 by the end of 2023, demonstrating the scale of its ambition.
