In order to help expedite the resolution of property complaints, Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has published an Expression of Interest (EOI) call for the implementation of cutting-edge technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and natural language processing (NLP). This digital transformation will see the formation of a “Smart Court” system, utilizing these advanced technologies.
The pandemic has accelerated the digitization of the e-courts system, thus giving the rise to virtual courts and online dispute resolution techniques. Machine learning and deep learning algorithms can provide smarter solutions to activities such as generating cause lists, setting hearing dates and documents discovery and reviews. Additionally, AI can also be used for more mundane tasks like populating complaint forms, case prioritization, and improved case monitoring.
The staff of UP RERA is excited to take advantage of AI and ML to simplify and improve their processes for dispute settlement, and looks forward to the successful implementation of this project. UP RERA is headed by Madhu Chandra Saxena, an IAS officer with vast experience in urban planning development. Saxena has long been calling for the adoption of digital and automated tools to increase the efficiency of the Real Estate Authority.
Overall, the UP RERA initiative reflects a world-wide trend towards using more advanced technologies to resolve legal disputes more quickly. The combination of AI and ML promises to provide quick and accurate results, and enhance customer experience. UP RERA is sure to benefit from implementing this revolutionary system.
