UK startup Hilo has launched what it claims is the world’s most technologically advanced e-scooter. The Hilo One is equipped with collision-avoidance technology, using computer vision AI to warn riders of impending dangers through visual, audible, and sensory feedback in the handlebars. The e-scooter also features a large front wheel to help clear potholes and flashing undercarriage lights to increase visibility at night, as well as being compatible with Unit 1 helmets. Beyond its safety credentials, the Hilo One integrates with electric cars for bi-directional sharing of navigation information and charging sites.
