UAE Ministry of Education Collaborates with e& to Incorporate AI in Schools
The UAE Ministry of Education has joined forces with e& (formerly Etisalat Group) to introduce artificial intelligence (AI) into the country’s education system. During the Gitex Global 2023 event, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by representatives from the Ministry of Education and e& to develop and offer cutting-edge computer science education. Dena AlMansoori, the group chief human resources officer at e&, expressed her optimism and highlighted the importance of this collaboration. She stated, Together, through our work with Code.org earlier this year and now in partnership with the Ministry of Education, we are charting the course for the UAE to maintain its leadership in global digital education. AlMansoori emphasized that this collaboration goes beyond simply introducing technology into education; it aims to cultivate a digital-first mindset among students.
Mohammed Al Ali, the director of the Information Technology Department at the Ministry of Education, and Dena AlMansoori signed the MoU in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Al Mualla, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Academic Affairs, and Hatem Dowidar, GCEO of e&.
