OpenAI’s ChatGPT has revolutionized the AI landscape, and recently they’ve released two major features for ChatGPT Plus users, which are available to try now. People subscribed to ChatGPT Plus now have access to plugins and internet access, and these are powerful features that could very well change the way we interact with AI.
The internet access feature allows ChatGPT to access a broader range of knowledge and data, so now it is able to answer even more specific questions regarding the future or current events. On the other hand, plugins opens up conversations to third-party apps, like OpenTable or Wolfram Alpha, allowing the consumer to get more detailed answers to their questions.
However, users must be aware of the limitations of plugins, as users can only have three enabled at once. This is intentional, as ChatGPT should remain in line with the consumer’s interests, and having too many plugins risks the AI being connected to applications that the consumer doesn’t want. Plus, third-party companies, like BeeBot, have created a list of the top 15 plugins to use.
ChatGPT Plus is not free, at $20 per month, but the features make it a worthwhile investment. The two new features of ChatGPT Plus are a game-changer in the realm of AI, allowing users to access a broader range of knowledge and more relevant applications when interacting with AI. With OpenAI’s announcement, ChatGPT has now joined the ranks of Google’s Bard and Microsoft’s Bing Chat, giving the consumer even more options.
